Boise Cascade expanded its Ohio Valley building materials distribution network with the announcement of a new facility to be built in Marion, Ohio. Construction on the 20-acre site in Marion will include a 100,000 square foot warehouse with 13 acres of lumber storage. Boise Cascade said the location will also be rail-served.

“Moving to this new distribution facility will enable us to expand our product offering and deepen our breadth of inventory for our current customers,” Jeff Strom, executive vice president of Boise Cascade’s building materials distribution division, said in a news release. “It will also allow us the opportunity to enhance our service capacity and expand our footprint in a multi-state area.”

Boise Cascade’s Ohio Valley building materials distribution network already includes a branch in Cincinnati, Ohio. The company expects to break ground on the Marion site in early 2022.

“Boise Cascade has enjoyed a 20-year presence in Marion and is excited to build and relocate to this new facility,” Mark Nelson, branch manager, said. “The Marion operation will employ 32 associates to serve retail and professional builder lumber yards.”

Boise, Idaho-based Boise Cascade is a producer of engineered wood products and plywood and a wholesale distributor of building products.
