Longview, Texas-based supplier Cassity Jones Lumber and Building Materials opened a facility in Bossier City, La. The new facility will accommodate increasing demand and rapid growth in the Bossier City market, according to Cassity Jones, and represents the company’s first LBM branch in Louisiana.

The 8-acre Bossier City facility will contain a five-acre outdoor lumberyard, 50,000 square feet of covered storage space, and a 9,000-square-foot custom showroom.

“This new facility will serve existing and new customers and will fill the incremental demand created by the expansion of the Louisiana housing market,” Cassity Jones CEO John Jones said in a public statement. “The decision to expand our presence in the Bossier City area was a logical step in our business growth strategy, and we look forward to becoming a valued member of the community.”

Cassity Jones Lumber and Building Materials is a 65-year-old family-owned supplier focused on helping professional builders. The company has five facilities in Northeast Texas and a custom door fabrication plant.
