Kodiak Building Partners today announced it acquired AO Inc., a commercial door distributor and fabricator located in Dallas. This marks the latest acquisition for the Denver-based dealer, which grew 124% to become the 28th-largest company in last year’s ProSales 100 list.
Earlier this year in April, Kodiak acquired the assets of Factory Builder Store, a distributor of cabinets and appliances based in Houston.
“We are very excited about having the AO team join forces with us,” said Kodiak President and COO, Steve Swinney. “Their expertise in serving the market for both new office facilities and tenant improvement work fits into our diverse approach to U.S. construction markets.”
Kodiak chairman and CEO Paul Hylbert said his company plans to invest more in the active Texas market. “With Gulf & Basco, Factory Builder Stores, and now AO serving all the major markets, we’re continuing to invest in one of the fastest growing states in the country.”
