Kodiak Building Partners completed the acquisition of Mandere Construction and Northwest Building Components, the 25th transaction for the specialty dealer. Mandere Construction and Northwest Building Components both operate from a single, 12-acre location in Rathdrum, Idaho, serving the broader Spokane-Coeur d’Alene metro area.

Mandere Construction and Northwest Building Components provide wall panels and floor and roof trusses, as well as framing and installation services for the single-family, multi-family, and commercial construction. John Mandere will continue in his role as president of both companies and will become a substantial investor in Kodiak Building Partners, according to a news release.

“I can’t wait to get to more customer-facing activities,” Mandere said in a press release. “My local touchpoints are a large part of Mandere’s success, and having the ability to again concentrate on what really matters to our customers can only mean more growth and profitability.”

Kodiak CEO Steve Swinney said the acquisition of Mandere and Northwest Building Components is a “strong addition” to Kodiak’s growing presence in the Pacific northwest. Mandere Construction and Northwest Building Components service markets in Idaho, Washington, and Montana.

“We’re thrilled to have John and his team join the Kodiak family, as his experienced workforce are go-to experts in wood construction in the Spokane-Coeur d’Alene market,” Swinney said. “We expect their products and services to nicely complement our other companies in the region.”

Highland Ranch, Co.-based Kodiak Building Partners operates 81 locations across Arizona, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Idaho, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Texas, Nebraska, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. The company serves general contractors, builders, sub-contractors, remodelers, and DIYers. The specialty dealer ranked 11th on the 2020 ProSales 100 list.
