L&W Supply, a unit of ABC Supply, opened new branches in Frisco, Texas, and Springfield, Va. Each location will offer wallboard, steel framing, acoustical ceilings, insulation, and other interior building products and materials.
The Frisco branch will be managed by Dean Johnson, a graduate of the L&W Supply Branch Manager Training program. He joined the company in 2006 and has spent the past 12 years in sales. The new Texas branch is L&W Supply’s third location in the Dallas area and its 14th location in Texas.
“The Frisco branch increases our market coverage and makes our presence in Texas even stronger,” Curt Jenkins, district manager for L&W Supply in Texas, said in a public statement. “The new branch allows for added capacity and increases service levels to metro Dallas market customers.”
Bill Withers, who has 15 years of industry experience, will manage the Springfield, Va., branch, which marks the 7th location across Virginia for L&W Supply. “This new location helps reinforce our commitment to our customers in the D.C. and Northern Virginia markets,” Jim Nix, district manager of L&W Supply’s Chesapeake area, said in a prepared statement. “Bill’s proven success in sales and operations gives him the perfect insight to help make our presence in the area even stronger.”
With the two greenfield branch openings, Chicago-based L&W Supply, a specialty distributor of ceiling systems, steel framing, and other building materials, will operate approximately 173 branches in 35 states. Earlier in the year, L&W Supply acquired seven-unit North Carolina specialty dealer Delta Gypsum and one-unit Colorado distributor Metro Building Products. The distributor also recently opened a greenfield location in Southern California.
