McCoy’s Building Supply promoted Cheryl Keene from the role of assistant controller to director of accounting.
“I feel overwhelmingly blessed to join this leadership team comprised of individual mentors whom I admire so much,” Keene said in a prepared statement. “As director, I look forward to supporting and developing our team while finding new and innovative ways to streamline our accounting processes, making us more efficient without sacrificing accuracy or increasing risk.”
Keene began with McCoy’s in the role of assistant controller two and a half years ago. In the role, she led teams responsible for the financing reporting across the company and led the taxation team, which includes income, franchise, and sales tax. The new director of accounting holds her CPA accreditation from the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy.
“Cheryl brought her expertise to McCoy’s at the perfect time of growth and change in our company,” Joshua Whitely, vice president – controller, said. “We look forward to her continued influence as a financial leader for years to come.”
San Marcos, Texas-based McCoy’s Building Supply operates 89 stores, three distribution facilities, and two millwork facilities in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, and New Mexico.
