Joanne Corum, the senior vice president and chief information officer at McCoy’s Building Supply, has been named the IT Executive of the Year in Austin, Texas. The award is sponsored by InnoTech and the Society for Information Management (SIM) Austin Chapter.
“I am honored to receive this award and am truly blessed to have worked with so many talented team members and colleagues over the years,” Corum said in a news release. “It’s the McCoy’s team members and customers that make this work fun. It is exciting to think of new ways to give our customers the best experience possible. This includes customer-focused solutions like implementing our buy online ecommerce option to detailed tracking and scheduling of deliveries.”
The IT Executive of the Year showcases excellent leadership behind IT innovations created, problems solved, efficiencies gained, and resources optimized, according to a news release.

Corum previously worked for more than 10 years at IBM and Applied Materials before joining the McCoy’s team in 2016.
San Marcos, Texas-based McCoy’s Building Supply operates more than 90 branch locations with full-service lumberyards in Arkansas, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. The dealer ranked 12th on the 2020 ProSales 100 list.
