McCoy’s Building Supply poured the foundation for a new store location in Spicewood, Texas. The location is projected to open in the summer of 2022.
“McCoy’s has been serving the Austin area since we opened our first store there in 1969,” real estate manager Phil Hutchinson said in a prepared statement. “We believe in Austin and are excited for the continued growth and success of the central Texas area.”
Construction of the Spicewood store is expected to take 30 weeks and McCoy’s said the design of the store will reflect similar updated features of the company’s Liberty Hill, Texas, and Bay City, Texas, branch locations. The Spicewood store will feature a spacious interior retail area, a paved lumberyard, and a drive-through lumber storage area. McCoy’s said the location will serve builders, remodelers, do-it-yourselfers, and the farm and ranch community.
San Marcos, Texas-based McCoy’s Building Supply operates 89 stores, three distribution facilities, and two millwork facilities in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, and New Mexico.
