The National Lumber family of companies is expanding into East Hartford, Conn. The location will operate under the National Building Products brand name, because another company operates under the National Lumber name in southern Connecticut.
Mark Lefsyk will serve as the general manager at the location. The company will hold a board cutting ceremony on June 20 to mark the grand opening and will hold a VIP evening event for builders and contractors.
The East Hartford, Conn. location has operated as a lumberyard under various companies over the years, most recently under Builder FirstSource (BFS). BFS left the property in late 2018 and National Lumber moved into the location in January 2019. The East Hartford location will have an expanded product line in both its lumberyard and hardware store, and will contain a Kitchen Views design showroom.
National Lumber began expanding into Connecticut in 2015 with the acquisition of Oxford Paint & Hardware. Renamed Oxford Lumber and Building Materials, the location in southern Connecticut also contains a Kitchen Views design showroom. National Lumber’s manufacturing division—Reliable Truss Components—expanded into Branford, Conn., in 2018.
Mansfield, Mass.–based National Lumber operates nine lumberyards in New England, with seven Kitchen Views showrooms and 12 Benjamin Moore paint stores.
