Professional Builders Supply (PBS) has expanded its capacity and product offering in the Charlotte, N.C., market by opening a new distribution facility. The facility, located between PBS Charlotte’s two existing facilities, will focus on exterior trim and siding related products, including a full complement of James Hardie ColorPlus and LP SmartSide. Bob Gordon, PBS Charlotte market president, and his team will assume responsibility of the location, according to the company.

“We are excited about this new facility and have made a significant investment in depth and breadth of inventory to demonstrate our commitment to the siding category,” PBS CEO Van Isley said in a prepared statement. “We are well positioned to provide a level of service that is unequalled in the Charlotte market.”

Raleigh, N.C.-based PBS currently sells and distributes residential and commercial building materials from 14 facilities in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. The dealer has annual revenues of approximately $500 million. In March, PBS announced it had expanded its footprint in the North Carolina Triangle region with the opening of a distribution facility stocking lumber, siding, interior trim, hardware, and other building materials between Bensen and Dunn, N.C.
