Honsador Appoints CEO Kapolei, Hawaii–based Honsador Holding (www.honsador.com), which was created to manage the 2004 acquisitions of Honsador Lumber, Honolulu Wood Treating, and Ariel Truss, announced the appointment of Carl A. Liliequist as its CEO, effective last month. Liliequist, who replaces former owner James A. Pappas, most recently served as executive vice president of sales and operations at St. Louis–based distributor Huttig Building Products.

Firm to Provide Acquisition Advisory Services Building Materials Partners (BMP) is a new Los Angeles–based firm that provides advisory services to buyers and sellers of building material companies with $10 million to $500 million in revenue. According to the company, BMP works with family and private owners to evaluate exit alternatives and to help with confidentiality, as well as with industry and financial buyers looking for suitable acquisitions or management-led buyouts.

The company (www.buildingmp.com) was formed by Lonnie Schield Jr., former CEO of $370 million Terry Lumber; Matt Ogden, an investment banking and private equity investment professional formerly of Southeast Acquisition Partners; and Alex Hodgkin, an investment banker formerly of Headwaters MB and Salomon Smith Barney.

Cluss Lumber has acquired Gallatin Plumbing Supply in Uniontown and Bowlings, Inc. in White Sulphur Springs, W.V. …Salem, Ore.–based Keith Brown Building Materials announced the addition of Jim Tolleson to its team as vice president of sales. Tolleson most recently served as regional sales manager for St. Louis–based Huttig Building Products. …Oak Brook, Ill.–based co-op Ace Hardware announced the promotion of Ron Knutson from vice president, controller, to vice president, finance. Knutson will oversee treasury, financial planning and reporting, retailer financial services, risk management, and tax and audit services. …Kenner, La.–based Southern Forest Products Association (SFPA) announced the newly elected members for its 2006 board of directors: Clarence Young of Memphis, Tenn.–based International Paper, chairman; Pat Patranella of Diboll, Texas–based Temple Inland Forest Products, vice-chairman; Lynda Anthony of El Dorado, Ark.–based Anthony Forest Products, treasurer; and Tyler McShan of McShan, Ala.–based McShan Lumber Co., immediate past chairman. The board elected Digges Morgan as SFPA’s president….Greensboro, N.C.–based entry door component manufacturer Endura Products has acquired Nacogdoches, Texas–based wood door frame manufacturer FrameSaver. The deal closed in December.
