Beacon Buys Vancouver-Based Roofing Dealer

All Weather Products has three branches in British Columbia

Beacon Roofing Supply, the No. 3 dealer on the ProSales 100, expanded its operations in British Columbia today when it announced it had acquired All Weather Products Ltd. (AWP), a distributor of residential roofing systems and accessories with branches in the Vancouver suburbs of Surrey, Kelowna, and Burnaby.

One of Beacon’s holdings, Edmonton, Alberta-based Enercon, already has a branch in Vancouver. All told, Beacon has more than 250 branches in 40 states and six Canadian provinces.

“AWP provides Beacon with an excellent opportunity o enhance our current presence in the vibrant Vancouver market,” Paul Isabella, Beacon’s president and CEO, said in a statement. “Equally important is that AWP shares Beacon’s core values of integrity, loyalty and a commitment to its employees and customers.”

Ken Lillejord, oresident and Founder of AWP, will continue with the company.

On Aug. 8, Beacon reported a net income of $26.7 million in the quarter ended June 30. That’s a 1.4% drop from last year’s net sales of $27.1 million for the same period last year Despite the drift in income, the company’s net sales rose $663.3 million, up 5.8% from its three-month 2013 net sales of $627.2 million.
