Foundation Building Materials announced today the acquisition of two specialty building products distributors in the Midwest.

The Tustin, Calif.-based firm is taking over R M Supply, an independent distributor of wallboard, steel framing, and insulation, and ArmCom Distributing Company, an independent distributor of ceiling products.

These two acquisitions will add seven locations to FBM’s operation. R M supply has two branches in Wentzville and Herculaneum, Mo., and ArmCom has locations in St. Louis Park and Rochester, Minn.; Fargo, N.D.; Sioux Falls, S.D.; and Omaha, Neb.

“A fundamental component of our successful growth strategy is to secure highly-complementary acquisitions with compelling track records of success,” Ruben Mendoza, FBM’s Chief Executive Officer said in a news release. “R M Supply and ArmCom are ideal strategic and financial fits for our company and represent uniquely positive and durable attributes. “

FBM expects an estimated $27 million to $29 million in collective net sales from the two firms for the remainder of fiscal year 2018 ending December 31.

Recently, FBM expanded with two locations in Texas and Ontario back in November. The firm currently operates over 220 branches across the U.S. and Canada.
