Healdsburg (Calif.) Dealer To Buy Window Store

Move enables Healdsburg to expand into Marin County

Healdsburg (Calif.) Lumber plans to close its acquisition of The Window Warehouse, a window and door retailer in Corte Madera, Calif., on Jan. 1, Healdsburg Lumber president Eric Ziedrich told ProSales today.

Adding The Window Warehouse to Healdsburg’s operations “is a great opportunity to expand our market,” Ziedrich said. Healdsburg Lumber currently serves Sonoma County through lumberyards in Healdsburg and the coastal town of Gualala as well as through a door and sash unit. The Window Warehouse will give it an 8,000-square-foot showroom and warehouse in adjacent Marin County. And while The Window Warehouse currently focuses almost exclusively on window sales, “it’s not a big step to go to door and window sales,” Ziedrich noted.

The Contra Costa Times, which reported the deal on Dec. 23, said all 13 fulltime employees will be retained, and current Window Warehouse owner Steve Campodonico will become a sales manager at Healdsburg Lumber.

“All we hope to do is expand upon what they already do and add a few more arrows into the quiver,” the newspaper quoted Ziedrich as saying.
