Homewood Holdings, a portfolio company of investment firm Building Industry Partners (BIP), acquired the assets of Total Trim Construction. Total Trim provides interior trim, molding, and door installation services to multifamily builders and commercial developers and contractors in the Sacramento, Calif. market. The company was founded by co-owners Jason and Patti Flashman in 2004.
“Homewood Building Supply has worked closely with Total Trim for over a decade, serving many of the same residential and commercial builder customers as a complementary service partner,” said Erich Kepner, CFO of Homewood Holdings. “Total Trim has a very strong reputation in the Sacramento market, and we think Homewood’s support, combined with Jason and Patti’s expertise, will allow us to better serve our customers.”
Total Trim represents the seventh acquisition by Homewood Holdings and its second business in northern California. Homewood Holdings’ other investment in the greater Sacramento market is Homewood Building Supply, a pro dealer with operations in Loomis and Yuba, Calif. Homewood Holdings said the acquisition of Total Trim improves the company’s ability to serve the turnkey millwork needs of single-family, multifamily, and commercial builders.
Homewood Holdings was formed in April 2016 by BIP to build a “best-in-class, regional pro dealer” in the western U.S. The addition of Total Trim Construction creates a dealer and installation platform with eight total locations in California, Washington, and Arizona, generating more than $125 million in combined sales. The company recently acquired Custom Choice Door, The Door Mill, and Valley View Window and Door in June.
Parent company BIP helped create or fund ProSales 100 companies U.S. LBM and Kodiak Building Partners, as well as Rugby Architectural Building Products, United Cabinet Holdings, Building Industry Advisors, and U.S. Fence Solutions.
