Building materials and specialty products distributor L&W Supply acquired the assets of American Building Materials. American Building Materials operates two locations in Wadsworth and Hebron, Ohio. The acquisition increases the number of L&W stores in Ohio to eight.
“This acquisition allows L&W Supply to enhance our services to contractors in the central Ohio area and introduce L&W Supply to new customers in the Akron area,” John McLaughlin, vice president of L&W Supply’s northeast region, said in a news release. “The experience of the American Building Materials team will be a great asset to us, and we are excited to welcome their associates to the L&W Supply family.”
American Building Materials, founded in 1974, is a distributor of drywall, related accessories, and tools, servicing commercial and residential contractors. According to L&W Supply, American Building Materials associates will continue to work for the company to ensure continuity for customers.
Chicago-based L&W Supply, a unit of ABC Supply, operates approximately 200 locations in 40 states.
