L&W Supply, a unit of ABC Supply, acquired one-unit Metro Building Products. The distributor, founded in 1986 and located in Arapahoe County, Colo., provides drywall, steel stud, insulation, and related products in both the residential and commercial market.
“With the acquisition of Metro Building Products, we expand our footprint in Colorado and expand our service to contractors in the Denver area,” said Dan Piche, president of L&W Supply.
With the acquisition, Chicago-based L&W Supply, a specialty distributor of drywall, ceiling systems, steel framing, and other building materials, will operate 170 branches across 35 states. Following a busy 2018, which included four acquisitions of 26 branches, L&W Supply began 2019 with the acquisition of seven-unit North Carolina specialty dealer Delta Gypsum.
