Morse Lumber Acquires Rochester Lumber

WM. B. Morse Lumber Company, Rochester, N.Y., will acquire Rochester Lumber Company on Dec. 31, Morse Lumber announced today in a press release.

Rochester Lumber Company is 107 years old and has three locations: Rochester, East Rochester, and Farmington, N.Y. Rochester Lumber’s Rochester location’s inventory will be absorbed and delivered out of Morse Lumber’s Rochester location. Rochester Lumber’s East Rochester location will remain a building supply store. Rochester Lumber’s truss facility in Farmington “will remain open under different ownership. NextGen Building Components will be a wholesale supplier of roof trusses and panelized walls,” according to the press release.

“Our two companies are a great fit both culturally and operationally,” Walter Morse, president of Morse Lumber, said in the press release. “The synergy that this uniting will allow us to bring an even higher level of service to our customers”
