Nation’s Best Acquires Arizona’s Woodland Building Center

Nation’s Best announced the acquisition of Woodland Building Center in Springerville, Ariz.

“We are excited to welcome Woodland Building Center into the Nation’s Best family of businesses,” Chris Miller, president and CEO of Nation’s Best, said in a news release. “Owners Bill Dutton and Frank Padilla have built the home center into a dominant regional player and we look forward to building on that growth in the years to come.”

Woodland Building Center is a full-service and locally-focused dealer of hardlines and lumber and building materials. As part of Nation’s Best’s acquisition strategy, Woodland Building Center will retain its existing brand name, with its key leadership team overseeing company operations alongside Nation’s Best. Nation’s Best will provide the strategic and financial support necessary to drive optimal growth and profitability, according to the company.

“With the support and expertise of Nation’s Best, our growth potential is enormous,” Padilla said. “Our entire team is enthusiastic about the opportunities to expand our reach and serve even more pro builders in the region.”

Nation’s Best, founded in 2019, is a member-owner of Do it Best Corp., a U.S. based hardware, lumber, and building materials buying cooperative in the home improvement industry.

Nation’s Best completed several acquisitions in 2020, including its acquisition of Groom & Sons’ and Lambert Lumber in February 2020, its acquisition of five-unit, Bridgeport Building Centers in March 2020, its acquisition of Hall’s Hardware July 2020, its acquisition of two-unit Simms Lumber in October 2020, its acquisition of five-unit Connolly’s Do it Best Hardware & Rental in November 2020. In 2021, the company completed the acquisition of BTU Do it Center, the acquisition Hometown Hardware, the acquisition of Caron Building Center, the acquisitions of Hipp Modern Builders Supply and Panhandle Lumber & Supply, the acquisitions of Ron’s Lumber & Home Center and Gilmer Lumber, and the acquisition of Craft Beaver Home Centers.
