The Oklahoma Lumbermen’s Association (OLA) and the Construction Suppliers Association (CSA) boards voted to merge yesterday, Aug. 15. The merger, which will become official Jan. 1, will cover Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Oklahoma.
The merged group will retain the the CSA name, and the headquarters will remain in Atlanta. CSA will incorporate a satellite office in Oklahoma City, and Karen Baker, executive director of OLA, will become the Oklahoma Regional Director for CSA.
“We believe this merger opens new opportunities for Oklahoma dealers,” said Sean Stevens, president of OLA. “We honor the 70-year history of OLA by continuing all of the great services Oklahoma dealers have come to appreciate, while giving them access to some great new programs that can really make a difference in their profitability.” The merger will allow members to access to more dealers in five states while only paying dues to one organization.
This is the second merger for CSA in the last three years, as it joined with the Midsouth Building Materials Dealers association in 2014.
