SRS Distribution Acquires JB Wholesale Roofing and Building Supplies

With the acquisition, SRS will now operate 20 branches in the greater Los Angeles metro area.

SRS Distribution acquired JB Wholesale Roofing and Building Supplies, a distributor of residential and commercial roofing and other related products. Terms of the deal were not publicly disclosed.

“We are thrilled to welcome Brian, Nizam, and the entire JB Wholesale team to the SRS family,” SRS president and CEO Dan Tinker said in a news release. “The company represents a rare opportunity to partner with one of the largest and most respected independent distributors in the industry. Combined with our existing footprint, SRS will now operate a total of 20 branches in greater Los Angeles. We are truly excited by what our combined organization will accomplish together.”

Chatsworth, Calif.-based JB Wholesale operates 11 locations across southern California and is currently run by Brian Jones and Nizam Husaini. According to SRS, Husaini will continue to lead the company under the JB Wholesale banner post-acquisition to ensure continuity and consistency for customers, suppliers, and employees.

McKinney, Texas-based SRS Distribution is a portfolio company of Leonard Green & Partners and Berkshire Partners. SRS operates a family of distinct family of local brands encompassing more than 415 locations across 43 states. The company ranked 7th on the 2020 ProSales 100 list.
