SRS Distribution today announced the acquisition of Bill Wahl Supply, a distributor of residential roofing products and accessories, siding, and windows. The independently owned Bill Wahl Supply has two locations in Blackwood, N.J., and Vineland, N.J. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The entire Bill Wahl Supply team will remain with the company to run the operation to ensure continuity and consistency, according to the SRS news release.
“We are pleased to have the opportunity to strategically grow our footprint into southern New Jersey,” president and CEO of SRS Distribution Dan Tinker said. “Bill Wahl Supply will make an ideal addition to our Northeast region operations and allow us to properly connect our footprint from the greater Philadelphia area to the New Jersey shore points.”
With the addition, SRS now has more than 230 locations across 43 states, operating under 24 distinct local brands. The distributor is the 9th-biggest company on the ProSales 100, with sales in 2017 of $2.31 billion, 99% of it to pros.
SRS—a portfolio company of Leonard Green & Partners and Berkshire Partners—has been growing via both greenfield expansion and acquisitions recently. It opened four new greenfield locations in Plymouth, Mich., Salem, Ore., Waterbury, Conn., and Oceanside, N.Y., in August and opened three new greenfield locations in Evansville, Ind., Ramsey, N.J., and Lithia Springs, Ga., in October. Additionally, SRS acquired St. Louis specialty dealer Crown C Supply in August.
