Sunroc Building Materials Acquires Sierra Truss

The truss manufacturer will bolster Sunroc’s truss production capacity in northern Utah.

Sunroc Building Materials announced it closed on the asset acquisition of Willard, Utah-based truss manufacturer Sierra Truss, according to a news release. The acquisition will bolster the construction and building materials manufacturer’s truss production capacity in norther Utah, according to the release.

Sierra Truss, established in 2013 specializes in the design and manufacture of truss and roof systems to serve builders of multifamily homes, single-family homes, and commercial buildings. Sierra Truss will begin operating under the Sunroc Building Materials banner, effective immediately, according to the news release.

“We are pleased to have Sierra Truss join Sunroc Building Materials. This acquisition positions Sunroc and Sierra for growth in the greater Ogden and Logan area and north, leverages Sunroc’s increased design capacity and combines the overall strengths of Sunroc & Sierra Truss,” Greg Templeman, president of Sunroc Building Materials, said. “Sierra Truss’s reputation for quality products is a natural fit for our company.”

Orem, Utah-based Sunroc Building Materials, a subsidiary of Clyde Companies, was the 34th largest company on the 2018 ProSales 100. Prior to the acquisition, the manufacturer operated 11 locations across Utah and eastern Idaho.
