Keene Lumber of Muskegon becomes part of US LBM's Standard Supply unit

US LBM announced today it acquired Keene Lumber and will make the Muskegon, Mich.-based yard part of its Standard Supply & Lumber unit.

All of Keene’s employees will remain with the Western Michigan company and General Manager Kevin Kooi will continue to lead the team, US LBM said in a news release.

Founded in 1935, Keene Lumber;s products include cabinetry and hardware, decking, flooring, roofing, siding and windows. It also does home remodeling, kitchen and bath design, and roof truss design and engineering.

“Keene has a well-deserved reputation for excellence,” Standard Companies President Tom Rottschafer said in a statement. “We’re pleased to welcome Keene’s team of top professionals and that customers will be able to continue working with familiar faces. Keene’s location in Western Michigan and the high quality of products and services the company offers perfectly complements our existing portfolio of businesses.”
