Yosemite Lumber Purchased by Company Manager

Oakhurst, Calif. lumberyard will return to its original name, Yosemite Falls Lumber

Yosemite Lumber was purchased in February by longtime manager James Bates, a company employee told ProSales. Bates acquired the company from the Chukchansi Indian Tribe, owners since 2010. Under new ownership the company will go back to its original name, Yosemite Falls Lumber.

Since its opening in 1955 the lumber company has changed hands at least five times. Bates has been with Yosemite Falls Lumber for 28 years. He joined when it was owned by Everett and Carolyn Plum, his uncle and aunt.
