Building and industrial products distributor BlueLinx Holdings hired Tyson Winfrey as general manager of the company’s Grand Rapids, Mich., branch, effective June 1, 2021
Winfrey joins BlueLinx after seven years in roofing distribution with Beacon Roofing Supply and SPEC Building Materials in numerous sales and operation roles of increasing responsibility. Most recently, he served as the regional operation manager and branch manager for SPEC in Nashville, Tenn.
“Tyson’s professional experiences and “lead from the front-line” mentality have taken him across several diverse market segments, including small appliances, executive search, home décor, healthcare finance, and building materials,” Mark Wasson, regional vice president of BlueLinx, said in a news release. “With an array of career experiences that include team building, logistics, manufacturing, customer service, sales, and operations management, Tyson is passionate about strengthening business relationships and growing revenue while continually looking for ways to improve process efficiencies..”
Marietta, Ga.-based BlueLinx distributes a comprehensive range of products to more than 15,000 national, regional, and local dealers, specialty distributors, national home centers, and manufactured housing customers.
