Building and industrial products distributor BlueLinx named John Spencer as the company’s new general manager for branches in Monroe, La., and Gulfport, Miss.
“We are excited about John joining our team as general manager,” Matt Lyle, regional vice president of BlueLinx, said in a prepared statement. “I am excited to put his decades’ worth of experience to work for the benefit of our customers, suppliers, and associates. His energy and enthusiasm for our business will accelerate the momentum for growth and excellence our associates have generated in the Monroe and Gulfport branches.”
Spencer began his career in sales at Georgia-Pacific in Dallas, Texas, in 1984. Throughout his career, he has served in numerous sales and management roles for dealers, national accounts, and industrial sales. Spencer has also served as an executive and manager with several major retailer operations in the central and southern United States. Most recently, the newly appointed general manager was employed as a district manager at a national wholesale distributor of building products.
Georgia-based BlueLinx distributes a comprehensive range of products to more than 15,000 national, regional, and local dealers, specialty distributors, national home centers, and manufactured housing customers.
