BlueLinx promoted two general managers into roles as regional vice presidents. Matt Lyle, most recently the general manager of branches in Gulfport, Miss., and Monroe, La., will now serve as the regional vice president for BlueLinx’s central region. George Zarick, previously the general manager in Denville, N.J., and Frederick, Md., will serve as the regional vice president for the east region.

“We are excited to announce the promotion of Matt and George to regional vice president,” Alex Averitt, COO for BlueLinx, said in a news release. “They have demonstrated their relentless commitment to exceptional customer service, while showcasing their ability to develop associates and lead transformative change in their markets as general managers.”

Lyle began his career in building products distribution with Georgia-Pacific, where he gained experience in procurement, product management, and territory sales. The new regional vice president took on general manager responsibilities in Monroe, La., in 2007, and in 2014 he launched the Gulfport, Miss., branch as a greenfield location.

Zarick previously served as a sales representative for the Trex Company and as an architectural representative for the northeast at OmniMax International. The new regional vice president also served as the director of national accounts at OmniMax International. Zarick joined BlueLinx as the general manager in Frederick, Md., in 2016, and in May 2020 became the general manager in Denville, N.J.

Marietta, Ga.-based BlueLinx has a distribution footprint serving 40 states and the company distributes its range of structural and specialty products to approximately 15,000 customers across the United States.
