Boston Cedar and NILCO locations across the United States are now known as U.S. Lumber. The change in branding went into effect on October 1, U.S. Lumber announced via a post on LinkedIn.
U.S. Lumber acquired Mansfield, Mass.-based Boston Cedar in April 2016. Boston Cedar is a specialty building materials distributor for the New England region. U.S. Lumber acquired NILCO in September 2017. Hartville, Ohio-based NILCO operated 12 distribution centers from New York to Indiana.
Atlanta-based U.S. Lumber is a two-step distributor with branches for distribution to lumberyard and millwork houses and shops throughout 33 states. The company was created by a merger of the Atlantic Trading Company and Bestwood Forest Products. U.S. Lumber said there are no plans to change Midwest Lumber Minnesota or Alexandria Moulding’s names. U.S. Lumber acquired Midwest Lumber in May 2018 and Alexandria Moulding in August 2018.
