Cameron Ashley Building Products opened a new distribution center in Delta Township, Mich. The new facility will serve customers in the greater Lansing, Mich., metro market with a focus on residential building products.

“We are expanding our service to Michigan and its surrounding markets, which will allow us to increase our ability to support existing and future customers,” Tom Gaffney, Cameron Ashley regional vice president, said in a prepared statement. “Our expansion in Delta Township is essential for providing on-ground inventory close to our customers, and the ability to support their sales through our products with sales, marketing, and merchandising is a win-win situation.”

The distributor said the Lansing Community College’s Business & Community Institute will play a role in workforce training support by routing employee state withholding taxes into a dedicated customizable training fund through the Michigan New Jobs Training Program.
