L&W Supply, a unit of ABC Supply, named three new branch managers: Nick Jansen in Columbus, Ohio, Phil Orapello in Allentown, Pa., and Gary Barnson in Las Vegas, Nev.
In the role of branch manager in Columbus, Jansen will be responsible for delivery execution along with the management of branch personnel, according to a news release.

Jansen has spent the past two years with L&W Supply, progressing through the roles of inside sales representative and branch supervisor. In November 2019, Jansen completed the distributor’s branch manager training program. Prior to joining the company, Jansen served as a helper, trim carpenter, and project manager for two years.
“Nick has exactly what it takes to be a strong leader here at L&W Supply.” vice president of the northeast region for L&W Supply John McLaughlin said in a prepared statement. “His experiences working both in the trades along with the distribution side helps give him a wealth of knowledge and insight into the position.”
Orapello will take over as branch manager for the retiring Gary Huster in Allentown, Pa. In the role, Orapello will be responsible for overseeing the branch, including coordinating deliveries with branch associates, overseeing personnel, and managing customer relationships.
Orapello previously worked in the roofing, millwork, and door industries before joining the distribution side of the business. At L&W Supply, Orapello has held numerous positions, including branch manager and district manager.
“Phil is a strong worker and the right fit for the position,” L&W Supply mid-Atlantic district manager Bill Giuliano said in a news release. “Allentown is a market with a unique set of challenges and opportunities, and I have no doubt that Phil will inspire and motivate the associates around him to succeed.”
In Las Vegas, Barson will be responsible for hiring and mentoring branch personnel, as well as overseeing the branch, managing deliveries, and managing customer relationships.
Barson retired from the Laborers Union in 2000 and joined the distribution side of the business in 2003. The newly appointed branch manager has spent the past 16 years of his career in several positions focused on supplying projects in Las Vegas, according to L&W Supply.
“With his background as a contractor, Gary brings a lot of knowledge and a strong work ethic to this new position,” Chad Cutlip, vice president for the west region at L&W Supply, said. “The entire team in Las Vegas is happy to welcome him on board.”
Chicago-based L&W Supply, a specialty distributor of gypsum wallboards, suspended ceiling tiles, and other interior building materials, operates 174 branch locations in 35 states.
