L&W Supply, a unit of ABC Supply, appointed Walter Reinthaler as the district manager of the Mountain West district and Paul Dean as the district manager of the Upper Midwest district.
As district manager for the Mountain West district, Reinthaler will oversee all L&W Supply branches in Utah and Arizona, including the Phoenix and Salt Lake City metropolitan areas.
Reinthaler has worked as an associate of L&W Supply for 15 years, serving in outside sales, sales manager, sales merchandising, and business manager roles. Most recently, Reinthaler spent two years as the branch manager of the company’s San Jose, Calif., branch, helping growing the wallboard and steel categories while overseeing several high-profile projects, including Stanford University’s Escondido Village.

“The entire L&W Supply team in the West could not be happier with Walter’s well-earned promotion,” Jake Gress, regional vice president for L&W Supply’s West region, said in a public statement. “In his new role, he will be able to impact more branches than ever before through his leadership and ability to provide customer service.”
In the district manager role for the newly formed Upper Midwest district, Dean will be responsible for a number of “high-traffic” L&W Supply branches in cities including Chicago, Green Bay, Wis., and Madison, Wis.
Dean has worked for Chicago-based L&W Supply for 22 years, beginning his career as a branch supervisor in Beaumont, Texas. Dean moved to Houston, Texas, in 2000 and served in several roles, including as an outside sales representative and sales manager. Dean was promoted in 2005 to branch manager and in that role he helped grow the Houston business into one of the company’s highest volume branches, according to the company. L&W Supply named Dean a managing partner (MP) in the company’s inaugural MP class, one of the highest honors a branch manager can achieve with the company, according to a news release.
