Composite decking and railing manufacturer MoistureShield, a division of Oldcastle APG, expanded its Florida distribution partnership with BlueLinx Holdings. BlueLinx will now distribute the full line of MoistureShield composite decking products from its Miami, Fla., and Jacksonville, Fla., distribution centers in addition to its Lakeland, Fla., facility.
“The BlueLinx team is excited to offer MoistureShield from our Florida distribution facilities to our valued dealers in these regions, using our strong service platform,” Paul Lyle, BlueLinx’s regional vice president of the southeast region, said in a public statement. “Adding MoistureShield allows us to offer our customers a full range of decking products and options.”
The MoistureShield product line includes Vision capped composite decking, its DiamondDefense capped surface, Infuse decking, and uncapped composite Vantage. Select products in the decking line feature CoolDeck technology, which reduces deck board surface temperature by up to 35% compared to conventional capped composites, according to the manufacturer.
“We are very pleased to expand our distribution footprint with BlueLinx in Florida,” said Ken O’Neill, executive vice president of National Group, Oldcastle APG. “We know this is a very rough time for Florida and BlueLinx will be relied on for its high levels of service to dealers, as they assist in the rebuilding efforts following Hurricane Dorian.”
MoistureShield’s composite decking and railing products are manufactured from 95% recycled content. Marietta, Ga.-based BlueLinx has a distribution footprint serving 50 states and distributes its rang of structural and specialty products to approximately 15,000 customers across the U.S. BlueLinx previously announced it would distribute a full line of MoistureShield composite decking products from its Atlanta and Chicago distribution centers in August.
