Norandex Names New President and CEO

Building-material distributor Norandex named Glenn Knowlton as its new president and CEO. Knowlton previously served as the vice president of sales and marketing for the company’s sister firm Saint-Gobain Abrasives, where he headed a team of 400 across North America. Prior positions within the company include North American sales manager, director of marketing, business manager, district sales manager, and product and market manager.

The Hudson, Ohio-based company is part of global building- and industrial-products manufacturer and supplier Saint-Gobain, whose portfolio includes building-products maker CertainTeed. The company doesn’t report earnings for its individual businesses, but overall net €$1.3 billion ($97.2 million*) on sales of €$42.2 billion ($31.6 billion) in 2011.
