Building materials manufacturer and distributor Wausau Supply is expanding its reach with the opening of distribution facilities in West Unity, Ohio; Murfreesboro, Tenn.; and Butte, Mont. The company said the facility openings address growing demand from Wausau Supply customers for wider distribution of its product offerings, including the Diamond Kote Building Products and Waudena product lines.
“At Wausau, we understand that bringing to market innovative, industry-changing building products is just one part of the equation,” Charlie Herwig, president and CEO of Wausau Supply, said in a news release. “You must also be able to efficiently and cost-effectively get those products into the hands of customers when they need them. Our investment in additional distribution capacity allows us to provide our customers and suppliers with faster access to our best-in-class siding and entrance systems—enabling them, in turn, to deliver the high level of service their customers expect.”
Wausau Supply’s Diamond Kote is a line of factory-finished complete siding systems building upon durable LP SmartSide siding. Diamond Kote is available in a wide array of stocked colors and features color-matched accessories and flashing. Wausau Supply also manufactures steel and fiberglass entrance systems through the Waudena product line, providing pre-hung, factory-finished artisan exterior doors.
Through the opening of the facilities in Murfreesboro and West Unity, Wausau has added Kentucky, Tennessee, the northern portions of Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Ohio, and western Pennsylvania to its distribution footprint. The 150,000 square foot facility in Butte, Mont. is slated to open in the first quarter of 2021. The Butte facility will provide Wausau Supply distribution capability throughout Montana, Utah, and Idaho.
Once the Butte location opens, Wausau Supply will operate 18 distribution facilities across the United States, four of which also serve as manufacturing facilities.
“We are excited to offer building industry professionals, in a growing number of markets across the U.S., access to our extensive product portfolio while also delivering the high-caliber service and support that Wausau Supply has become known for,” vice president of sales and marketing Mike Seebruck said.
