Do it Best and Epicor Expand Partnership

Epicor has been named the point-of-sale vendor of choice for Do it Best member-owners.

Do it Best named Epicor its point-of-sale (POS) vendor of choice for its member-owners. The partnership between the companies is central to Do it Best’s recently unveiled strategic e-commerce initiative.

“At Do it Best, we are always working to help our members exceed their customers’ expectations and deliver a constantly superior level of service,” Do it Best president and CEO Dan Starr said in a news release. “With our vendor of choice recognition of Epicor technologies, we’re delivering advanced e-commerce and supply chain management capabilities to position our members to be the first and best choice for their customers.”

Do it Best said members will benefit from industry-leading functionality and business intelligence to offer customers more choices, drive more traffic, and increase store sales. The co-op said the partnership will also strengthen inventory and supply chain management. The agreement between the two companies includes dedicated Epicor and Do it Best teams committed to supporting members with streamlined POS technology integration, shortened development time, and continuous feature updates via the cloud, according to the companies. Do it Best members will gain data-driven insights to understand what products they are selling and insights to optimize inventory management.

“Epicor and Do it Best believe the local, independent owner is foundational to our communities,” Epicor CEO Steve Murphy said. “Epicor is thrilled to expand our partnership with Do it Best. Fort Wayne, Ind.-based Do it Best is a member-owned fully integrated hardware, lumber, and building materials buying cooperative in the home improvement industry. Epicor Software Corporation equips businesses in the manufacturing, distribution, LBM, retail, and automotive industries with enterprise solutions.
