Do it Best Corp. promoted Todd Miller to the role of director of merchandising strategy and execution. Miller most recently served as the company’s merchandising manager for plumbing and has more than 25 years of industry experience.

“We’ve been continuously focused on leveraging our agility and strengths to fuel even more growth for our member-owners,” Dent Johnson, Do it Best vice president of merchandising, said in a news release. “Our data-driven approach to assortment planning and providing our members with the right mix of products are delivering exceptional results already. We’re excited to have Todd step into this important leadership role to build on that momentum. His depth of experience in conducting line reviews, developing acquisition strategies, building vendor relationships, and delivering with excellence will help us drive more growth.”

In his new role, Miller will be responsible for the development and deployment of Do it Best’s category management strategies, overseeing assortment planning, pricing, and training and development teams.

“I’m ready to apply my extensive experience and product expertise to serve our team and our members even better,” Miller said. “And I’m excited by the opportunities this move will bring to further drive our strategic growth.”

Miller joined Do it Best in 1997 as an associate merchandise manager in plumbing before being promoted to merchandise manager of housewares and cleaning in 2003. In 2008, Miller returned to lead the plumbing department through the impacts of low lead requirements and PVC supply chain disruptions brought on by recent factory closures, ice storms, and raw material shortages.
