Wellsco International Group has recalled more than 70,200 stainless steel door pulls due to laceration hazards, according to an announcement from the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The recall involves the Everbilt 6-1/2 inch Stainless Steel Door Pulls, manufactured by Wellsco International Group. According to the CPSC, the stainless steel door pulls may have sharp edges on the back of the product, posing a laceration hazard to consumers.
The 14339 model of the Everbilt Stainless Steel Door Pulls have a rounded bow shape and are secured by four screws. Home Depot, the exclusive retailer of the product, received 42 reports of the door pulls containing sharp edges, including 11 reports of minor injuries.
The home improvement retailer sold the product at stores nationwide and online between April 2018 and May 2019. According the CPSC, consumers are advised to immediately stop using the recalled door pulls and return the product to Home Depot for a full refund.
