It’s no secret that much of the American construction force is made up of immigrants. According to the NAHB, 24% of the construction labor force was comprised of immigrant workers in 2016, the majority coming from Mexico and the Americas.

It’s also no secret that soccer (to the chagrin of many Americans), is the most popular sport in the world. While over 100 million people tuned in for this year’s Super Bowl, the 2014 World Cup Final garnered 1 billion viewers.

The World Cup is back again this summer, and REMODELING wants to know what, if anything, your company is doing to accommodate employees who want to watch their country compete. The competition takes place in Russia this time around, meaning games will take place during the day in the U.S.

While Mexico games figure to be an obvious candidate for viewers, (their quarterfinal match in 2014 was the most-watched Spanish language telecast in American history), countries such as Panama, Costa Rica, Poland, and Brazil also have strong immigrant presences in the U.S. and are sure to be followed closely throughout the tournament.

Let us know what you plan on doing in the survey below. Also feel free to tell us why you may not make any accommodations.

The tournament begins June 14 and ends July 15. Here is a link to the full schedule of games.
