John H. Myers & Son of York, Pa., opened today a lumberyard in Aberdeen, Md., its first location in the Bay State. Meanwhile, a Vermont TV station reported that the owner of Britton’s Lumber Landscape & Feed in Woodstock, Vt., sold his facility to Bethel Mills so that he can run for the U.S. Senate.
Myers’ Aberdeen yard occupies the location of the fomer Viele & Co. building materials store, which closed several years ago. It fetures a covered lumberyard, hardware and tools, and a kitchen, bath, windows and door showroom.
“Our customers in this area have been asking for a full-service lumberyard and showroom and we are fortunate to be able to continue with our growth plan in this economy,” Bob Myers, president of John H. Myers & Son, said in a statement. “It’s atestament to our understanding of our customers needs, our focus on providingsolutions for our customers and our dedication to providing the best products andservice possible.”
John H. Myers now has six locations in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia, and Maryland.
Meanwhile, in Vermont, television station WCAX reported that Len Britton announced he was selling Britton’s Lumber Landscape & Feed to Bethel Mills in Bethel, Vt. Britton is a Republican running for the U.S. Senate seat currently occupied by Patrick Leahy, a Democrat.
