Demand for all types of windows and doors in the United Sates is projected to grow 4.8% yearly to $34.3 billion in 2021, according to a Freedonia Group study released Sept. 25.

“One key factor driving growth will be continued strength in new housing and renovation activity, including investment in new and replacement windows and doors,” said the Cleveland-based research firm. “Expanding construction spending in window- and door-intensive commercial segments will also fuel sales.”

Demand for metal windows and doors is also predicted to increase 4.2% per year to $13.5 billion in 2021. The full survey is available for $4,900 from The Freedonia Group.
