L&W Supply, a unit of ABC Supply, acquired the assets Coastal Building Materials in Cape Coral, Fla. The acquisition expands L&W Supply’s presence in the greater Fort Myers/Cape Coral market. The Coastal Building Materials store represents L&W Supply’s second location in Fort Myers/Cape Coral and its 14th overall in Florida.
“We are excited to welcome the Coastal Building Materials associates to the L&W Supply family,” Tim Mahaffey, vice president of L&W Supply’s southeast region, said in a news release. “Over the past 42 years, the Coastal team has built strong relationships with contractors in the greater Ft. Myers/Cape Coral area. We look forward to continuing to support their contractor customers while providing additional product offerings and services to help their businesses grow.”
Chicago-based L&W Supply, a specialty distributor of gypsum wallboards, suspended ceiling tiles, and other building materials, operates 174 branch locations in 35 states. The company acquired Colorado-based Drywall Supply in September.
