LBM Advantage, a wholly member-owned buying cooperative for the LBM industry, introduced its Advantage Leadership Conference, to be held over five days in September as a virtual event. The event is open to the entire LBM Advantage membership at no charge.
“Due to the cancelation of so many important industry events, including our popular NextGen Conference, we felt it was essential to offer an educational opportunity for our members,” Steve Sallah, LBM Advantage president and CEO, said in a public statement.
The Advantage Leadership Conference will be held September 13-18 and offer attendees an opportunity to hear from industry leaders on sales, credit, purchasing, operations, and management. The event will cover one topic per day, each session lasting approximately 90 minutes. Industry panelists will discuss the day’s topic for about an hour before taking questions from attendees.
LBM Advantage launched in 2016 with the merger of buying cooperatives ENAP and Progressive Affiliated Lumbermen and merged with the Independent Builders Supply Association in October of 2017. The cooperative has approximately 523 members spanning 41 states and over 1,100 lumberyards.
