Boise Cascade Appoints Three Vice Presidents

The promotions follow the naming of Nate Jorgensen as CEO.

Boise Cascade promoted three business leaders to officer positions. Rob Johnson has been promoted to vice president of engineered wood products sales and marketing; Chris Seymour has been promoted to vice president of manufacturing operations, wood products; and Jeff Strom has been promoted to vice president and general manager, eastern region, building materials distribution. The promotions come on the heels of the announcement that Nate Jorgensen will succeed retiring CEO Tom Corrick.

“We believe the internal development of leadership is a key element of our long-term success as a company,” Tom Corrick, CEO of Boise Cascade, said in a public statement. “Rob, Chris, and Jeff are strong leaders, producing with significant accomplishments during their time at Boise Cascade. Additionally, they all have a proven commitment to living our values and building strong relationships with our associates, customers, and suppliers.”

Johnson joined Boise Cascade’s wood products division as a business optimization engineer in 2014 and accepted a director position with the engineered wood products sales and marketing team in March 2019. Prior to joining the company, Johnson had more than 20 years of broad industry experience in manufacturing and distribution.

Seymour joined the company in 2000 and has held several leadership roles in the company’s manufacturing division over the past two decades.

Strom began with Boise Cascade as a sales representative in 2006 and has taken on increased responsibility in the last 14 years, according to the company. Strom has a total of 27 years of industry experience.

Boise, Idaho-based Boise Cascade is one of the largest producers of engineered wood products and plywood in North America and a wholesale distributor of building products.
