Building products manufacturer James Hardie appointed Jason Miele as the company’s new senior vice president and chief financial officer. Miele will be based at the company’s Chicago headquarters and report directly to CEO Jack Truong.

“Jason brings a strong track record of financial and business leadership, as well as an in-depth knowledge of the James Hardie business,” Truong said in a news release. ”His financial skills, international experience and leadership attributes complement our strong performance-oriented culture and make him the right choice to lead our finance organization during this critical time as we continue to execute on our global strategic plan.”

Miele has worked for James Hardie for more than 13 years, serving in numerous roles during his career with the company. Most recently, Miele served as the vice president of investor and media relations, a position he held since February 2017. In the role, Miele oversaw James Hardie’s investor relations strategy and communicated its business strategy and financial performance to stakeholders.

With the appointment of Miele as CFO, interim CFO Anne Lloyd will step down. Lloyd, a member of the company’s board of directors, will continue to serve as a non-executive member of the board. Former James Hardie CFO Matthew Marsh left the company in August 2019 and joined startup Kattera in the same role in September 2019.
