Milwaukee Tool is expanding its U.S. footprint with the announcement of a new service hub in Greenwood, Ind. The centralized repair facility is anticipated to open in March 2021 and will complement the company’s other service hub in Greenwood, Miss., according to the manufacturer. Both facilities will act as the main axis points for Milwaukee Tool’s service operations for users across the country.

Milwaukee Tool said it will invest $6.75 million to establish its Greenwood, Ind., service hub to accommodate the rapid growth the company has experienced in the last several years. The 150,000-square-foot facility will house tool repair and warehousing space.

“As we grow, we continue to invest in the right opportunities and talent that will allow us to deliver the very best solutions and overall experience for our users and distribution partners,” Steve Richman, Milwaukee Tool group president, said in a news release. “We are committed to unprecedented speed, agility, innovation, and quality. This new service hub will play a critical role in our continuing to deliver on these commitments.”

Brookfield, Wis.-based Milwaukee Tool currently has manufacturing and distribution operations in Greenwood, Miss., Olive Branch, Miss., and Jackson, Miss., as well as in Mukwonago, Wis., and Sun Prairie, Wis. Earlier in 2020, Milwaukee Tool announced plans to open a vertically-integrated manufacturing plant in West Bend, Wis. The facility will manufacture new-to-market hand tools for professional electricians and utility lineman.
