Tando, a brand of Derby Building Products, has expanded its U.S. sales team with the hires of a sales development specialist and a key accounts manager and through a partnership with Marquis Sales and Marketing.
David “Alex” Catron joined Tando as a sales development specialist covering northern Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine. In the role, Catron will be responsible for supporting territory growth by generating demand for Tando products and developing pull-through sales at the contractor, builder, and remodeler level. Catron recently served in sales and assistant management roles with Enterprise Rent A Car for three years.
Additionally, Tando hired a key accounts manager based in the greater Nashville, Tenn., area. The key account manager will work closely with Tando distribution partners and key dealers to drive Tando growth in the southeast and south-central region, according to a news release.
“We’re excited to expand our pro-channel sales team and we look forward to making immediate impacts in their markets,” Michael Morris, vice president of sales at Tando, said in a prepared statement. “While much of the population has been spending time at home during the pandemic, our distributors, dealers, and their contractors and installers have continued to work tirelessly. Growing our exceptional sales team is one of the ways we can help them keep up the momentum of the Tando and Beach House Shake brands.”
In addition to the new hires, Tando has expanded its pro-channel sales team through Marquis Sales and Marketing to enhance brand growth and support dealers and distributors in the mid-Atlantic and southern regions of the United States.

Four Maquis sales professionals will join the Tando team and work with their distribution partners: Jay Saxton covering eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Tony Strong covering Maryland, Delaware, and northern Virginia, Joshua Kirschner covering North Carolina and southern Virginia, and William Herbert covering South Carolina and northern Georgia.
“Through our collaboration with Marquis’ first-class sales team, we’re confident that Tando’s high performance, low-maintenance products will reach an even broader customer base,” Morris said. “Marquis’ additional market support and experience position us and our customers very well to service the growing demand of TandoStone, Beach House Shake, and TandoShake.”
Tando is owned by Quebec, Canada-based Derby Building Products and products Beach House Shake and TandoShake exterior building products.
