National Lumber promoted Kevin Silveira to the role of vice president of sales, William Conkey to the position of full line sales manager, and Todd Groman to the role of director of operations. In the role of vice president of sales, Silveira will be responsible for leading sales in the southern New England market and continuing to develop National Lumber’s turn-key business along the eastern seaboard. Silveira and Conkey will report to senior vice president of sales Dean Wagar and Groman will report to executive vice president David Pelletier, according to a news release.

Silveira began in the LBM industry two decades ago as an account manager at Reliable Truss, which was purchased by National Lumber in 2003 and became the company’s manufactured products division. According to National Lumber, Silveira produced triple-digit growth for his divisions within a few years and was promoted to sales manager for his division. He was promoted again in 2015 to the position of director of sales and engineering before moving into the role of business development manager in 2018.

Conkey has worked in the industry his entire life and previously served as a trainee, production manager, inside sales rep, outside sales rep, and plant manager for Universal Forest Products, now known as UFP Industries. The new full line sales manager at UFP Industries also previously worked for Russin Lumber in a variety of roles, including wholesale outside sales and outside sales, and for Koopman Lumber as an inside sales rep. Conkey has been with National Lumber since 2016, serving as specialty sales manager overseeing the millwork and component sales team.

Groman is a thirty-year industry veteran who has experience starting distribution centers, sales territories, and new lumberyards in several capacities as general and regional manager, entrepreneur, and broker. The newly promoted director of operations has been with National Lumber since 2015 and served in a variety of management rules, overseeing National Millwork, Benjamin Moore Paint, and operations.

Pelletier and Wagan were both recently promoted into their roles as executive vice president and senior vice president of sales, respectively.

National Lumber operates ten lumberyards in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut, 11 Benjamin Moore paint locations, seven Kitchen Views showrooms, two Reliable Truss and Components manufacturing facilities, and specialized divisions that include engineering, drywall, installed insulation, and custom millwork manufacturing. The 85-year-old company is owned and operated by the third generation of the Kaitz family and ranked 18th on the 2020 ProSales 100 list.
