- Hardwoods Distribution (HDI), through its subsidiary, entered into an agreement to purchase Novo Building Products Holdings from an affiliate of Blue Wolf Capital Partners for a price of $303 million.
- Hamshaw Lumber acquired Leader Home Centers, a chain of five retail stores with locations in Massachusetts and Vermont.
- Connolly’s Do it Best Hardware & Rental celebrated the grand opening of its Georgetown store in Fort Wayne, Ind.
- Builders FirstSource entered a definitive agreement to acquire WTS Paradigm, LLC, a software solutions and services provider for the building products industry, in a cash transaction valued at around $450 million.

- Simpson Strong-Tie renewed its support of Habitat for Humanity International’s Habitat Strong program for the sixth consecutive year.
- Masonite International Corporation announced plans to invest in a new door manufacturing facility in Fort Mill, S.C.
