- Hancock Lumber plans to acquire Winnipesaukee Lumber, an independent, family-owned building materials supplier in Wolfeboro, N.H.
- Fencing Supply Group acquired Nashville, Tenn.-based Capitol Wholesale Fence Company.
- Carr Hardware is purchasing Massachusetts-based Lee Hardware.
- 84 Lumber reopened its Greenwood, Ind. The location was rebuilt after a fire damaged the original warehouse last year.

- In partnership with industry veteran Ted Rock, private equity investment firm Building Industry Partners formed a new building products component manufacturing platform: North American Specialty Laminations.
- US LBM acquired six-unit, Massachusetts-based Mid-Cape Home Centers. The specialty building materials distributor also announced the acquisition of two-unit Northern Building Supply.
- Builders FirstSource acquired California TrusFrame, LLC.L&W Supply consolidated their Englewood and Punta Gorda, Fla., locations into a new facility servicing Port Charlotte, Fla.

- Busy Beaver opened a new store in Mt. Pleasant, Pa.
- Riverhead Building Supply acquired the assets of Mozzone Lumber Company in Taunton, Mass.
- Shaw/Stewart Lumber has acquired Kruse Lumber, effective August 31.
- SRS Distribution announced the acquisition of Weatherpanel, a distributor of residential and commercial roofing, siding, windows and doors, and related products. The deal is SRS’s 100th acquisition. The company also entered a definitive agreement to acquire Aloha Roofing Supply, a distributor of residential roofing, lumber, foundation and masonry, and other related products. The transaction is expected to close on September 10.
- Woodgrain acquired Independence Lumber, which has sawmill locations in Independence, Va., and Elkin, N.C.

- Russin purchased the production assets of Golla Enterprises, a factory finisher formerly located in Toms River, N.J.
- Cornerstone Building Brands completed its previously announced acquisition of Cascade Windows for a cash purchase price of approximately $245 million.

- Heritage Landscape Supply Group acquired Atlantic Mulch & Erosion Control, an independent distributor of mulch and soil, pavers, natural stone, bulk materials, and other complementary landscape products.
- Interstate + Lakeland Lumber expanded with a new building product design showroom in Shrub Oak, N.Y.
- Tibbetts Lumber is acquiring Largo, Fla.-based Florida Forest Products.

- SRS Distribution launched a new platform, Heritage Pool Supply Group, with the acquisition of Aqua-Gon.
